I can't recommend Valerie highly enough! She has been extremely helpful and educational, and she's made my first experience with a physio one of the best decisions I have ever made. After dealing with elbow tendonitis off and on for years, I decided to finally get it looked at after a recent flareup. I met with a few massage therapists in the area, but no one was able to explain what was causing me pain or why - until I met with Valerie. I told her my goals and she seems genuinely eager to help. I can honestly say I have seen tons of improvement in my elbow, and I have a treatment plan moving forward to combat the inflammation long-term (which is exactly what I was looking for!). Val is excellent in sports, athletic and recovery massage. Her approach is the definition of “body work” and I would recommend her to anyone who is interested in that approach to massage and holistic fitness. I have a regular masseuse where I live and on this trip to San Diego found her services and approach to be excellent. Her current studio is inside the S10 gym (3810 Rosecrans St) and provides a secure and friendly atmosphere for clients. There is also a chiropractor and infrared sauna onsite if those services are of interest aside from the personal training/gym.

Valerie has the magic touch! I came to her after aggravating an old knee injury and getting nowhere after months of physical therapy. In one session, I was able to walk out pain free and had some tools that I could use at home while I continued to heal. Any time a pain creeps up, I’m quick to schedule a session with Valerie because she is very skilled and can pinpoint the root of the issue.

I saw Valerie for my frozen shoulder in 2022. I had limited mobility but after seeing her a few times, she got me to about 80%. i continued doing stretches she recommended on my own and am at 95% now. I believe her intervention sped up my recovery.
